A More Focused Place...

HELLO =)
I have made a new blog.
I am starting anew for the new year.
I wanted a place where I can be a little more focused.

I guess since I feel I have stepped into another mind set of myself it's time to start a space that has the vibe of what I have become.

I reread some of my post in the past and I think I sound a bit naive and young.
Don't get me wrong I am still young but I guess I just want to document myself in a different way now.

Sleepy Head...

For some odd reason lately I've opted for sleeping over anything else. Maybe I have been really mean to my body the past few years so now it's getting back at me. OR maybe this is what they call getting old...HAHA (SHH I didn't say that, most people I work with will probably kill me for even making that suggestion...)

Anyway it's been a good few weeks into the new year. I have had fun hanging out with some new people and having quite time by myself at home. Sometimes I make no plans now just so I can sleep and stay at home hahahaha...

This is the FINAL performance for Seo In Young and Park Jung Ah as members of Jewelry. I've watched this performance three times and I was crying along with them all three times. Even though I didn't follow their music a lot this performance is really touching.
Park Jung Ah did not cry throughout the performance but she definitely got teary eyed at the end. She was holding it in as a strong leader for the group =)
It was a sweet, touching and memorable performance for the group! Best of luck to all in the future.

After Boys Over Flowers I thought he was good looking but for some reason I didn't really fall in love with him in the drama. However after watching him and Sandara Park's Cass Beer CF I thought he looked better. I like his hair and style in this picture.

Japanese Society and Culture...

This is the class I started today, looking at the class outline I think I am going to LOVE it! I thoroughly enjoyed my Contemporary Japan and China classes that I have taken the last two semesters. I am definitely feeling that this is the perfect major for me. People think it's useless, I think it's fascinating. Maybe I've caught on earlier than most that doing what you like is a lot more fun and enjoyable than doing what is expected of you.

Although it took quite a rough ride to actually pull out of my "asian-ness" and stray away from what is expected of me.

It was also very nice to find that two of my former classmates are also in this class with me so I am not alone. It's nice to make new friends but sometimes having people familiar around is better. Besides I found out one of my classmates also works at an ESL Conversational school downtown. So we're somewhat in the same "field".

Anyway the weekend is fastly approaching us once again. I had my 2nd Korean lesson yesterday. It's going to be hard work to learn Korean, but I feel like I can do it! HWAITING.
I think I need someone to chat in Mandarin with...but I feel so shy speaking Mandarin I think I sound really off/odd. It's ok I will step outside of my comfort zone and try to speak to my Taiwanese friend more while he is still here...ahah.

Boyfriend?

So strange as we get older I feel that the topic of a Boyfriend/Girlfriend comes up way more often. Today I got home and my mom and I were chatting. Her friend called her and asked if she knew any nice boys to introduce to her daughters. She told my mom it's about time my daughters dated. My mom laughed a little and said really? Is this really something you should be deciding for them? Her friend then asked her well aren't your kids dating? And she said well Candice has a boyfriend but Bernice doesn't really date.

Plus I don't think I have been asked by so many people in a span of 2 months whether or not I have a boyfriend. I say no and they always react the same way...really? Why not? oO

Anyway I had Chinese food tonight. MAN I seriously LOVE IT!!! I can't get over how good it was. Plus I met Leo's friends, Ivy and Andrea and they are awesome people. Andrea and I have quite a few common things that just randomly came up when we were chatting.
1. We're both born in 1987
2. Both born in Scarborough (it was funny cause she said she's from LA so when she said she was born in Toronto I was like oO)
3. We've both been on LoveBoat
4. We both love karaoke
5. We both seem to like to eat/shop HAHA
6. We both LOVE Lee Hom
I had a good night with them, we plan to go sing one day together =D

Keeping it short, I'm super tired today and I have to go to work early tomorrow so GOOD NIGHT.

Are You Sure You Are Not Korean?

It's funny how many times that question has been asked.
Victor (my Korean friend) and I have this long running joke about how he should teach me and English and I should teach him Korean.
Why is this funny?
Well I am a Canadian born Chinese, and Victor is a Korean native who is here in Vancouver to learn English.
How did this joke come about?
WELL sometimes I ask him how to say certain English words/phrases in Korean and he would pause for a long time and then I would ask him if it's ____? He would then look at me and go, "That's right =)" As for him his English is not bad but his pronunciation and choice of words is somewhat strange at times...so I always ask him what's that and he would have to explain asking me if I'm Canadian, should he teach me English?

Anyway this story came to mind today cause he was telling me phrases/words in Korean once again but more seriously this time since I told him I am actually learning how to read/write. In three months he told me he's going to pick something easy for me to read to him in Korean and he would do the same in English.

Three months...I think it'll be ok. A short easy paragraph should be tackleable.

I'm so sad, I left my work keys @ my computer at work. I am suppose to open the school tomorrow, which means I will get to leave early. However since I have no keys I had to ask my coworker to help me open tomorrow instead. SO I will be leaving work at 5 instead. Oh well that means I get more sleep. Speaking of sleep I am off now. This entire winter break I have been waking up at around 11 or 12 and now that I have to get up before the sun even comes up it's hard!!!

2010 Twenty Ten...

Welcome to the new year everyone =D

I think I am now in that state where I more look ahead than behind. I had a great year last year and of course the memories and all that will be with me forever...but instead of reflecting on what happened I want to look ahead.

Another great year is upon us.
I feel I am more goal oriented than before therefore some goals for the following year...

1. Learn how to read/write Korean:
OK so this didn't actually become a goal until today. I know I want to learn eventually, but I never really thought about learning it soon cause there are so many other things I wanted to do before it. However when an opportunity knocks who am I to refuse? One of my Korean friends right now is actually an elementary school teacher so teaching people basic Korean is a no brainer for her. So she has set up a chart and all that to get me to learn how to read/write Korean, so to make sure her efforts do not go to waste I will try my absolute hardest.

2. Use more Mandarin/Cantonese:
One of my life goals is to become conversationally fluent in Mandarin like I am at Cantonese. However I feel like my Cantonese has been slipping a little so I am making it a goal to speak as much Cantonese as I can around the people that know how, like my mom and grandma at home. Plus speak Mandarin to those that understand...

3. Get ready for school:
I've been working full time for almost two years, and have been going part time to school for almost one year. So the dynamics will switch during September when I go back to school full time. I will work part time to support myself, but it will be another dramatic shift in my life.

4. Save Save Save:
Last year I didn't save as much as I should have. I did but I would like to have saved more. So this year I am going to try to save more since I want to study abroad. I want to go to Taipei for a year (this one is FOR SURE, since I want to improve my Mandarin). I was also contemplating Korea for a semester...LOL. I have a lot of ambition and I will definitely need funding to get to those places so I am going to save.

OK, that's the game plan for this year! Let's all work towards our goals!!! Hwaiting and Jia You =D

He really blew it out of the park with this one, I definitely deem this the best performance of the night. I loved every minute of it!

I watched SBS and KBS's year end events and for some reason I felt that SNSD didn't have as much energy in the other ones. However for this last show I found them full of life and really into their performances. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them for the last time in 2009.

Was just listening to Tim - Saranghamnida and I can't get over how much I LOVE it.
Anyway I found a clip of TaeYeon singing L.O.V.E at a Jazz show and I thought it was good. So I am sharing that LOVE with you =D

AND speaking of Love...I realized how much I like MBLAQ's G.O.O.D Luv. If you didn't know already I find their Oh Yeah! song really annoying and I was hoping their 2nd song would be better and it is. So I've also been listening to it...I haven't found a performance where I am highly in love with their vocals yet, but this clip has a cute ending so that's why I posted it.

I really like the interactions between 2PM and SNSD and I wish they had more...I am waiting for the MBC Gayo activities to start because they are doing a musical skit together =D
However for now we got this short dance. I think on SNSD's end it could've been better but I love the interaction between the two groups so all I got is this for now. I think Woo Young looks really good =D Guys should always wear vests and ties OMG...

Since the year end shows have been reviewing the hits of 2009 I was able to find two live perfs of two songs that I love, but don't get to see live anymore. AND it's such a treat that they did it one more time for the end of 09.

First off Jessica and Park Myung Soo - Naeng Myun, this song is beyond cute/addicting. I also love how they are performing at the entertainment awards so they always pan to Yoo Jae Suk laughing, mouthing the words and singing along.

Second Baek Ji Young ft. TaecYeon (of 2PM) - My Ear's Candy, I seriously miss seeing them perform this song live. I always listen to it on my mp3 but I miss seeing them sing it live. So here it is. I really like the furry cropped jacket that Baek Ji Young is wearing...reminds of the Victoria Secret Fashion show back in 06 oh I also like her shoes =D

Lastly I just found this video when randomly browsing for SNSD stuff and its them singing along to DBSK's - HUG I have not heard this song in a while...bringing back the memories of how my fandom even began...

Anyway that's a lot of videos for one day...I will post more later probably but you can enjoy these for now.

The O.C 4th Season

Before I didn't really like Ryan's character but after the 4th season I love him! LOVE him. SO cute, lol and lovable in season 4.

I also bought The Big Bang Theory which I will also watch later...

So after watching the korean drama You're Beautiful I really wanted the Dwaeji Tokki that Hwang Tae Kyung made for Mi Nyo, but it's from Korea and I didn't really research on how to buy it. I saw it being sold at Crystal Mall the other day but they were sold out, and they were selling for like $60 each. And on Wednesday I was at HMV with Tiff and Em and I saw the Star Trek DVD and I made a note to myself to buy it soon!

AND I got both those things for Christmas.
Thanks to NAT for buying me the Dwaeji Tokki, who I am have named Hwang Tae Kyung (take a look at the cutie on the top right =)...
AND thanks for DIANA for buying me Star Trek on DVD. Seriously one of my favourite movies of the year and probably makes my list of favourite movies of all time. Yes I liked it that much.

Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. I am going boxing day sale shopping tomorrow...do not ask me why if wouldn't if i didn't have to...but I am crazy enough to do it apparently. OK on me to do list, 500GB portable external hard drive, 16GB sandisk memory card, and a 15"-16" computer LCD/flat screen monitor...

You beside from Baby One More Time I never really listened to much music from Jewelry, but thanks to this song I might go back and see what they had in the past. Even though I didn't follow them much I must say their live performance of this song some what brought tears to my eyes. I think its because I know this will be the last song they will promote as this group.

Seo In Young and Park Jung Ah (two of the remaining original, or well longest running group members) have decided to leave Jewelry. After their promotions for this song this group as is with these four members will no longer exist.

Also the live performance for this song was superb, Seo In Young and Park Jung Ah really blew me away. Baby One More Time is not exactly a song to demonstrate one's vocals but this song they really got to show off their stuff. I am glad they will end off on a positive note, I REALLLY LOVE this song been listening to it on repeat.

Asus Eee PC...

I bought a netbook today. This is my Christmas present to myself I guess.
My aunt gave me a laptop two years ago, and there is nothing wrong with it except everything is in Chinese so I sometimes have problems formatting my word docs and power points for school.
So I have been waiting to buy a MacBook Pro. However I don't have that type of money yet and my mom said she will help chip in if I buy a netbook now and preserve the Chinese laptop for her. So I finally bought it. I have been using it for approx 3 hours now and I like it. My hands are small so the keyboard is PERFECT size. There are some keys I still have to get used to cause it's different than my Dell. For example the delete button is in a completely different spot I keep clicking on "Home" when I want to delete something haha.

I also am buying a few things off GMarket. That site gives me the biggest headache but once you find stuff you like it's nice =D I am getting a padded vest + 3 scarves. Now you might be wondering why I am getting so many scarves?! Well it doesn't hurt to have them in different colours AND the scarves here in Vancouver are expensive. I probably would be able to buy one nice scarf here for the price that I am paying for all 3 + shipping.

I am having fun playing with my new netbook. No pictures on it yet so the background is kinda lame w/ just the default, but it will soon look like Bernice's netbook in no time. I love how small and compact this thing is. MAN totally awesome. Merry Christmas to ME =)

My good friend Chris left YVR yesterday to return to TPE. Although I have only known him for a short period we have become really close friends and I was very sad to see him go.

Throughout August till December we have hung out and had some good times together. What started off as a language exchange (he wants to improve English and I am slowly learning Mandarin) turned into a good friendship.

Let's recap the highlights:
+the first time we met I was standing outside of my work place for a little bit because I wasn't too sure which one he was...it was kind of funny cause I thought he was a student at my school and he thought I was a student at my school. I noticed him standing there and I kept thinking hmm that could be him since I have never seen that student here before but it's hard to say so I decided to call him to really see if that was him and BAM I was right...I still remember our first encounter was at Blenz
+the 2nd time we went to Starbucks...
+AND the 3rd time bubble tea on Robson...

The first few times it was just grabbing a drink and then going home after wards....
But soon we started to just eat dinner and hangout.
He also introduced me to a few of his friends from school, the first one was Mitsu (who was actually leaving for Japan the next day) we ate at Sushi Garden and then went to bbt @ Bubble World. I remember that day very well because that is also when Fall really began to hit. I was wearing my vest and a hoodie and I was COLD.

We celebrated Thanksgiving together...pretty hilarious since he said he never cooks at home. I made him chop up vegetables. We made a Turkey Jambalaya and Mash potatoes. I must say the Turkey Jambalaya turned out super tasty!!!! Mash potatoes are hard, I definitely have not perfect those yet but my sister seemed to enjoy it with gravy.

He also had the opportunity to meet Nat. Our usual meeting day was Tuesday and one evening I had dinner plans with Nat and Ryan so whilst waiting for Ryan to get off work the three of us were able to chat for a little bit.

Since then we've done a few things together, first there was pool with him and Shogo, then Korean karaoke with Melanie, and finally last weekend (which I deemed his farewell) Dim Sum + Karaoke + Daiso + Dinner @ Aberdeen

I will miss my movie buddy! Since I have the most free time out of everyone...or so it seems...I always want to watch movies and eat and it just so happens that Chris shares those same interests har har.
We've seen a few movies together the first one being Kamui, then Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, Astro Boy, 2012 and lastly Ninja Assassin.

We've eaten many good meals together Xiao Long Bao, Hai Nan Gi Fan, Anton's Pasta, Dim Sum, Cheesecake, Ah Li San...etc etc.It's such a weird feeling, it's like I was on vacation but it's the opposite affect. I'm not the one leaving. I don't think I've had such a close friend who isn't someone that lives here in Vancouver so when he was leaving yesterday it was such a strange feeling.

It was a different kind of sadness. Not really a I will never see you again type of feeling, but just a sadness like when your best friend decides to move away to a far away place. You will still get to talk and chat but you definitely don't get to see them whenever you want anymore. And seeing each other will take more effort from both parties. In this case a lot of work...lol
A lot of people have said to me that I will most likely cry when I see him off...and it almost happened. I think if he didn't turn around and leave the moment he did the tears would definitely have been flowing right there. I guess he wanted to spare me haha, I did cry a little bit later on cause it was just too sad. I think the last time this happened was when Wing flew back (but his situation is slightly different...).
I will work hard to make a trip out to Taiwan to see you!!! Don't forget about me.
I will miss your, "Are you Canadian?" and "Are you ok?" and "Yea sure sure..."
Remember the plan, marriage then a new apartment, then a guest room for Bernice =D

I will work hard on my Mandarin, and I will diligently save up for my exchange.

For Korean tourism, they got Super Junior and So Nyeo Shi Dae to sing a song together called Seoul Song and the MV is sooooooooo adorable. All the couples are so freaking adorable!!!
Especially SiWon & TaeYeon and KiHyun & SeoHyun.
Ki Hyun and Seo Hyun's scene was also the same (well almost) as Sad Movie!!!

That Good Ol' Holiday Spirit...

First off good luck to everyone having exams!!! This is crunch time guys don't give up!!! Work hard we will all survive and come out with flying colours!!! My Last exam is Friday Dec 11th, we can party then.

Second of all had an awesome weekend. SUPER entertaining Giants game on Friday with Chris. However we lost =( Also on Saturday (I almost cannot believe I survived the entire day, but I did) it was jammed packed with stuff, but it was fun!

1st off Nat and I woke up SUPER early and went out to UBC. You might be wondering why...well the Korean variety show Let's Go Dream Team 2 was being filmed here in Vancouver for their olympic special! It was pretty neat since they hardly ever visit us here in Canada, and especially in Vancouver. We arrived a little before 9am, they were schedule to film from 9 - 1 but most of the 1st hour was for set up and the stars didn't come in till about 10. Nat really wanted to see Danny Ahn and we did. It was pretty neat she got a video of him walking around lol. I must say I am still a little shocked they are here AND they will be here for another 4 days I believe. WOOO to Vancouver.

Then we met up with Shogo and Chris @ Rupert station. We were heading to Happy Valley to have Dim Sum. Shogo has got to be one of the funniest people I've ever met. His facial expressions are just too hilarious. He's never had dim sum before so he basically loved anything with shrimp and didn't like chicken's feet...he also liked the inside of the egg tart but didn't like the flaky outside crust.
After lunch we went out to Richmond to All You Can Sing Karaoke. FIVE hours of endless fun, I liked not having the pressure and we just picked a bunch a billion songs and skipped anything that got too long or wasn't worth singing OR was just inputted by mistake. I was so shocked I didn't lose my voice HAHA.
I was pretty hungry after that so we went over to Aberdeen. First we visited Daiso cause Shogo wanted to see it. Then we went to the food court (I SERIOUSLY LOVE the Aberdeen food court) and had dinner. As we were heading out we saw the Christmas display and had some fun taking pictures and what not. =( Pretty sad though cause this is the last official thing I will do with Chris before he goes back to Taiwan. I deem it his farewell party.

Had a great weekend over all!!! Random note, quite sad Aritzia doesn't have their classic hoodie in a dark gray. I WANT ONE. OH and I found a pair of winter books...FINALLY YAY! I don't really like the stella mccartney line for Adidas but this pair of boots is from that line. However I love Adidas so it's all good, the girl even made a comment about it since I was wearing my decade lows today when buying it haha.

Bao Mi Hua...

On Tuesday I was hanging out with my buddy Chris (who's leaving soon T_T) and we were trying to look for souvenirs for him to bring home to his family and friends. We were in Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and he was looking at popcorn so I asked what's that in mandarin and he told me Bao Mi Hua, which I think sounds superrrrrr adorable and now I can't help but repeat it HAHA. Also later I was eating gelato (YES I still enjoy it during the winter time =P) and I asked what's Ice Cream in Mandarin and he told me it's Bing Qi Lin which I also think is super adorable.

I have also decided to Canadianize Mandarin, what does that mean you say? Well I realized when I am chatting in English I say the word interesting a lot. Like if someone tells me a story I will say AHH that's interesting. Or I'll respond with I see I see...
So the other day I asked Chris what's I see and Interesting in Mandarin.
I see = Wo Kan
Interesting = Zhen You Qu
So when he says things in Mandarin I respond with Wo Kan Wo Kan...haha
Trying to start a new trend HAHA. I'm sure the other party talking to me will just ask Ni Kan She Me, which means You see what? But this is my new Canadianized Mandarin anyway.
(Sorry if my pin yin is wrong...I really am guessing for some words cause I really don't remember what it is BUT you get my drift)

Today was the last day of classes. I was debating whether or not to go to class but I ended up being a good girl and going. I also stayed the entire time even though some people left during the middle. Anyway it was good cause we got our papers and assignments back and I feel good going into the final with a pretty decent mark! Seeing what I got on my paper actually gave me a pick me up for the day. Not that I was having a bad day but it just added to it.

BUT for some odd reason work was SUPER busy today. I don't think I had a moment's rest until almost closing time. It was pretty ridiculous but I enjoy it a lot so no complaints. BESIDES busy days make the time fly like no tomorrow.

Okkk I also don't know if I mentioned Banana Milk does exist here in Vancouver! I am so happy because now I will get my daily dose of calcium! Not that I wasn't before, but now I for sure will cause I will drink one in the morning and one at night. That's what I did in Korea I seriously love this stuff. I told my friend to try it and she's like it's so nicely blended it doesn't make me think of the medicine at all! WHICH is exactly how I felt about it! YAY for Banana Milk. I seriously LOVE YOU!!!!

Anyway the weekend is here and I am excited, will update you after my long Saturday is over.

So earlier I wrote about After School and how they were going to have a come back and I ABSOLUTELY love their new single. It has three songs on it the title track Because of You, When I Fall (written by GaHee the leader) and Diva.

The songs this time are slower however it hasn't lost that After School sound that I like. I really like both of the new songs and I think their live performance of Because Of You is just as heart wrenching as the music video.

Also one of the new girls voice is really good, Raina...or something like that.

Winding Down...

Everything at this point is winding down, classes are starting to finish and exams are coming up. The year is slowly winding down and before we know it we'll be in 2010. People are coming and going it's all changing right before my eyes.

This has definitely been an interesting year...Not to dwell on things that have past, but looking ahead at things to come.

That means holiday celebrations can begin! WOO. I love Christmas holidays...one of my favourite times through out the year. It's a good time to gather and connect with people all over again!

Risky Business...

Some found it too daring, and some people love it.
I'm a huge fan of Yoon Eun Hye so I don't mind it at all. Sure she's not wearing a top but if she's confident enough to do a shoot with so little clothes on then that's her choice.
This was featured in Vogue, and she's advertising for Puma =D One of her latest photo spreads. I'm glad she has more photo spreads coming out. I guess after her new drama ended she now has time to do this. I swear if she wasn't a successful actress, she might be able to cut it as a model...possibly.

There is also some behind the scenes shots where she looks just as good as the finished product. It didn't look like they had to photoshop her that much, maybe just the usual airbrush to make the skin look perfect and saturation of colours.
I really liked the concept, for a winter shoot the colours are bright and fun. I love the combination of artistry + advertising. This is fun, creative, out of the box but it also never loses focus on the Puma item she's selling. I love how the item stands out enough so you are intrigued, oh it's Puma but also the colours and the creativity is so bold you can't help but stare at Yoon Eun Hye. I love how she just keeps adding to her portfolio of pictures. I think if we go through a short time line it will show how much diversity she's got!

I remember hearing about them a while back but I never checked out their music until today and this is an awesome group. I actually don't know if they are still active, but if they are I am definitely looking forward to hearing something from them! They have GREAT vocals!!!

New Girl In School...

You know out of all the girl groups that debut this year one of my favourites is After School. I'm quite sad that So Young had to leave the group however they have no gained two new members and I must say Nana (one of the new ones, 3rd from the right) is really gorgeous.

This isn't a huge picture of them but I like their new concept look. All the girls of After School are tall and seem to have nice bodies. Plus besides Nana, Ga Hee (far right) is looking smoking hot as per usual. Can't wait for their come back =D

Yesterday was a packed and awesome day.
I woke up at 6:45AM to head downtown and meet Melissa to line up for the Jimmy Choo and H&M event. I got there a little late. Was suppose to meet Mel at 8, but I didn't get to downtown till 8:30 so I bought her a coffee to compensate instead. Was a good idea since it was FREEZING yesterday. I wasn't really thinking of buying anything, however after 4 hours of lining up and freezing my toesies off I figured I might as well browse. BAD idea, after browsing I found this belt I really liked and well...$70+ dollars later I own it. I also bought a bracelet, but I'm going to return it cause my wrist is too small and it just looks way too large on me.

After Mel and I went to Red Robin's to eat lunch. We couldn't think of where to eat and then she suggested Reds and all of a sudden I had a craving for the California Chicken Burger so we went there. It was good. I really like that burger it's got everything I like all in one nice little package! Anyway Chris met me there at 2 because we were heading out to Richmond w/ Nat and his friend who I thought this name was Shogo, but Nat said Shoku or Shoko LOL so I'm not actually too sure what his name is.....anyway we shopped around a bit and then started playing this Tap Tap game on Chris's iTouch. It's basically like ddr and rock band but with your fingers. You listen to a song and you tap to the beat and stuff.

We went out to Richmond to play pool. I love playing pool, don't get me wrong I am by no means a good pool player but no matter the skill level I always have fun. Besides it's actually a pretty cheap thing to do with a group of people in Vancouver. After playing and finding out Chris is a pro we went to eat hot pot at Chubby Lamb on Alexandra. I wanted to go to Little Cow but they were booked full, we got rushed out of chubby lamb actually cause ppl had a reservation for 8pm. OH WeLL I was happily full, will go to little cow next time!

After that we went for dessert =D My favourite. Richmond has this really good cheesecake place called Yavis Club. I took them all there and we had a good time chatting and enjoying our desserts. I wanted to eat the lavender cheesecake cause Gary had it once and it was actually quite good, but they were out of it that night so I had my usual green tea red bean mousse. Plus Garden Paradise as my tea of choice! I LOVE tea so so so much.

We finally left Yavis club at about 10 something. I was actually pretty tired and thought of just stopping by steven's party, saying hi and bus home. However something happened and I ended up drinking a lot more than I wanted to and well stayed longer than I was thinking the night was crazy and I met a lot of new awesome people. Luckily Cass Ma was there and gave me a ride home =D So I didn't have to sleep over at Steven's house and bus home the next morning.
Got home at 330am and just slept.

Twas an awesome day.

Those are the elements of a Triple Threat as they call it. I think there are a few who can truly pull this off. The Singer + Model combination or the Actress + Model combination is not hard, it's the element of Singer + Actress that is hard to achieve.

However there are a few in this world that does exist and they are truly super talented individuals. Anyway of all the ones you're probably thinking of I'm probably not going to talk about them...HAHA.

So I started watching the drama You're Beautiful and I really love the cast. Plus the main characters have a lot of chemistry together on and off the set. It doesn't hurt that prior to this drama they have actually filmed a few CF's together.

The Triple Threat I am talking about today is Park Shin Hye. I can't remember when I first heard her name but this is not the first. However, prior I never really paid that much attention to her. Now I started to look up videos of her and she's quite amazing. This girl is born in 1990 and she can sing, dance, model and act very well. Even some of the singers out there right now do not have very good dancing skills but this girl was blessed to have a wide range of talents.
At first when I look at her dance videos I was quite confused as to what she was training for since she's an actress. None-the-less these videos just show us another side of Park Shin Hye and I LOVE it. I actually wish she had MORE dance videos out there, she's got good rhythm and flow.

Finally a song I like. When 4minute debuted I really did not like their debut song Hot Issue. That song really irks me and still does. Muzik was better but I still wasn't falling in love with them. I still think as a group I'm not totally in love with them, but I really do like their newest song off their Muzik album What A Girl Wants.

So I finally listened to their entire Mini Album and this is the only song that I enjoy, however I'm not a mean person just because I didn't like this doesn't mean if they come out with something great next I won't like that. They did have a lot of success after their debut and they are still on the rise, good luck to them and I hope to hear more from them in the future.

Beast - Bad Girl...

Ok I'm usually pretty skeptical about new Korean groups so I usually have to listen to them a few times or maybe even wait until their 2nd song before I even start to like them. However Beast's debut song Bad Girl is a really really really good song. I fell in love with it right away, plus I was reading an article where they were describing how they all felt so blessed to debut. Their mini album has 5 songs and I really really really like 3/5 and technically its 4 songs cause the 1st one is one of those 1 minute intro things.

In the news article 2 of the members were saying how they tried out for other really successful bands (that are already in the entertainment industry) and they got pretty close but didn't quite make the cut. Back then they were angry as to why they didn't make it, they felt their hard work has gone to waste. 1 other member actually was able to debut as a solo artist, but now that he's in a group he thinks the atmosphere is better. When you are a solo artist it's very lonely when you have to do photo shoots and variety shows.

Anyway I thought their stories were all very heartwarming and they have a really great debut single and debut mini album! If you have the chance go listen to Beast - The B2st is the album. I love their RNB pop vibe.

Hair Lust...

Ok so this is not the first time I've seen Angela Baby before, but yesterday when looking at the Janice Man + Angela Baby thread on Soompi I discovered I REALLY love Angela Baby's HAIR! It's exactly how I would like my hair to be (well maybe the length would be a little shorter cause I'm not that tall and having hair that long might be a little much...)

When I first saw Angela Baby I really had no idea who she was. My coworker was shocked I've never heard of her, she kept telling me she's famous in Hong Kong she's a model! But seriously I had no idea. Also previously when looking at her pictures I just thought ok she's a pretty girl what's the big deal?
Well for whatever reason the pictures I saw yesterday just all highlighted to me how WONDERFUL her hair is.
I think the part that hits me the most is the bangs. I have been fighting trying to find a good way to keep my bangs and I think I have almost found it. However I am SUPER jealous how hers just naturally seem to fall nicely into place. With that said most of these there are probably pro's making her hair look so good BUT none-the-less her hair is gorgeous and I want it.

In these two pics (above) I love how her bangs are placed. They are not flat against her face (which is how my bangs sometimes end up if I don't dry them the right way) and there is variety going on. Slightly parted a few times, or almost straight across and full like a doll.
In the first two pictures above I love how there is one big wave in her hair that gives her hair texture. Sometimes when someone's hair is really long when they keep it straight and don't do anything with it it can drag down a person's face, but her hair doesn't do that at all. The 3rd picture shows more of a wave for something more formal.
So these are the two pictures that actually made me FALL in love with her hair yesterday. I think its a behind scenes of a photo shoot, but if you take a look at the full size picture her hair just looks so soft and so light. Everything just seems like it's where it's suppose to be! Seriously I want her hair!

LASTLY this is what I want to attempt one day. Maybe no tiara for everyday use, BUT my goal is to grow my hair out so I can do this!
I've been telling my coworkers that I really want to grow my hair long so I can put my hair in a bun on the top of my head and then wear a big ribbon bow clip. This is nicer with a tiara which would look good too for a formal event =D

I wanted to blog about her hair last night around midnight BUT I thought I really needed to head to bed if I wanted to get up on time for work so it's been delayed till today, but seriously I am IN LOVE...with her hair!

It has been two years since SNSD has performed this song on live television. Basically after their debut promotions of the song they have stopped performing it on tv shows, but for the ChuSeok special this year they brought it back out!
This was a special performance, even Tiffany who isn't suppose to be singing participated in this song.

You really get to see how much they have grown up in two years.
Here is an original perf from when they originally debuted, it's not the exact debut video because I don't think they sang live till a few weeks later but it's still during that summer.

I feel their voices have become more refined in the debut stages a lot of them seemed to be shouting and their voices sound more strained. Now they feel more at ease and their voices are very pleasant to listen to. So hard work and dedication has gotten them to where they are today, "Korea's Younger Sisters".

Super Girl...

So Super Junior M has finally released another song called Super Girl. I must say it's quite addicting! They also released the Korean version shortly after and I think it doesn't have as much kick to it as the chinese one. I definitely like the original better.

Ok so today at work during lunch my coworker was telling me about how Gary Cao (a singer who's famous in Taiwan) punched Justin Lo. I then asked her who Gary Cao was cause I had NO idea, she proceeds to tell me how he's this awesome singer from Malaysia but is famous in Taiwan and Hong Kong. So she told me to go youtube him when I get home later.
I youtubed him and well I don't love every single one of his songs, but he does have some good ones. AND I must say I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this one called Only You In The World (世界唯一的你). It's such a good song and I think it features his family!

Lastly have I told you how much I love Ha Ji Won? So besides Yoon Eun Hye and Kim So Eun, Ha Ji Won has got to be one of my favorite Korean actresses!
She has short hair for the moment, but I think she looks great. She has a new movie out so there have been quite a few pictures of her recently! Which I love =D I miss her.

It Was So Cold Today...

My mom says there is a cold front in Southern British Columbia, which would be us. Compared to yesterday today was considerably cooler. I had quite a shock whilst walking to the bus stop this morning. I really wished I had put on WAY more layers.

Yesterday had a successful shopping trip down to the USofA. I bought more than expected but they were all good stuff so I am happy =D.

I really LOVE Tei's voice. Tei is a ballad singer in South Korea, him and Na Yoon Kwon were on Kim Jung Eun's Chocolate together. They did a cover of I Don't Care by 2NE1 and I absolutely LOVED it. Their voices harmonize really well together, I also like how they changed the song to fit a guys perspective. Although I actually have no idea what the changed lyrics are, but none-the-less fantastic!

I actually have never heard of Na Yoon Kwon till today, so I went around youtube looking up his stuff and he's pretty good. His first album came out in 2004, I find his voice really smooth.

I got asked that question the other night at a club ice breaker. I just thought it was pretty hilarious because no matter what I still look really young and when I tell people my actual age they are usually pretty shocked.

But on another note I technically am in 1st year. Just years behind most people my age, not that that really matters.

School has begun and I am loving it. I am taking two courses at Langara. Hist 1126 which is Modern Canada and Asia 1235 which is Contemporary Japan. Both fascinating to me in different ways but fun none-the-less.

It's almost the end of September, I find that a little crazy, time has been breezing by like no tomorrow.

I love Pitch and Putt, I've been two Saturdays in a row now and it's so much fun!
Plus I've been biking around the SeaWall 2 times in a row as well. Oh summer don't end!
I am excited for school but with the cooler evenings, I am feeling the effects of summer slowly fading away.

BUT hey now that I have discovered how awesome Pitch and Putt is we should go more often!

Took sticker pictures with Melissa friday night and it was awesome. I miss sticky pics, there is just something about them that I find so entertaining AND the machine gave us SO much time to decorate and write stuff on them that they turned out pretty darn fantastic.

We also played Monopoly. I love that game, you know how you have to go around once before you can buy property. So I roll a 7 and get chance then get sent to jail. Roll three times no such luck with the doubles pay 50 to get out. Roll and roll, then land on go to jail. Back in jail but was lucky enough to roll a double this time to get out. Then roll and roll and land in jail AGAIn for the THIRD time! And no luck with doubles so pay 50 to get out. Whilst rolling for doubles I kept rolling a one and a four like so many times.

SO after the third time in jail I finally made it past that go to jail thing to pass go so I can buy stuff. *sigh* GOOD times!

Kim Jae Dong asked SNSD what they liked about 2pm and YoonA responded and said she liked the part where TaecYeon takes off his sunglasses and kind of growls in the I hate You performance, and I believe SooYoung said she likes the part where they starts off at their chin and then rubs their hands down their chest, they look beastly.

Lastly Lee Hom one of the absolute FAVOURITE artists did a tribute song to Michael Jackson in his Beijing Music Man concert. He put his own spin on it so it has a small asian fusion feel to it!

Burberry For The Win...

I was browsing around the Burberry online store website and I realized I want the Burberry Short Double Breasted Trench. It goes for a retail of $795 USD. For a jacket I think that's a decent price, this is something that you buy and can probably wear for a very long time. My mom has had jackets and trenches for over 20 years now I am sure.

I'm not going to be making this purchase anytime soon, but it's nice to keep a look out for what I want in the future. Ah this jacket is so pretty, I think I want to make a trip down to the Burberry store just to see it in person.

On another note, I am sick, I am feeling kinda week and dizzy at the moment. I know I will be lying down all day long today, still deciding if I will be able to go to work tomorrow. My throat is pretty sore right now, I'm pretty sure I got sick because my mom had a throat infection last week and well the two of us living in a small space germs spread...

Anyway I don't want to miss work tomorrow so I'll see how I feel like a few hours.

Yesterday I had the privilege of witnessing two of my very good friends Cynthia and Charles get married. I remember the exact moment that Charles called me, all the way from Toronto. When I heard his voice I suspected it had to be some important news and in my head I was thinking maybe an engagement. When Charles finally came out and told me he proposed to Cynthia and that she accepted I was grinning from ear to ear.
I have only known Cynthia and Charles as a couple and I have only the sweetest memories of these two. Now seeing them start a new chapter together as husband and wife is such a joy. No words can describe how happy I was yesterday to witness their marriage, and no words can describe how much love I felt.
I only hope one day I will find the same love that exists between these two.

If I had $1200.00 in chump change I would buy this pair of boots! These are the Gucci Interlock boots in black, I saw them at Holt Renfew and fell in love. They are sleek and look very clean, no strange lines and patterns that I don't like. I also like that the belt at the top is black and the Gucci logo is in gold. Sometimes Gucci over does it with the logo but this is perfect. I was very happy they did not do the red and green stripe which they do in a lot of their other styles! Plus I love the thicker heel!

Moonlight Resonance 溏心風暴之家好月圓...

So I haven't watched a TVB drama in a while, but I do love them too! Every single one I watch either the theme song or the sub theme song is so awesome! I am currently watching Moonlight Resonance (溏心風暴之家好月圓) and it's so good! Most of the actors and actresses I really enjoy watching as well. If you have the time to watch a 40 episode drama WATCH IT! I forget how fast paced HK dramas are. I haven't watched that many kdramas recently cause of the speed, I always fast forward through stuff.

Anyway my current song obsession is Raymond Lam - 愛不疚 (Insufficient Love). It's so good, and I love his voice. I put a live video up, so in the beginning he's talking. It's not the best quality but you get to hear him live =D He's good. I love the emotions in this song.

I was looking up news about Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland (coming out in 2010, it looks amazing) and this picture of Johnny Depp was on the page I was reading and I think its an absolutely gorgeous pic of him! He will play the Mad Hatter, I really cannot wait! Yes very random, but he looks good!

HOT NEWS, these two GORGEOUS people below are DATING! For reals, in reality no jokes. I always watch dramas and think wouldn't it be awesome if the leads were dating in real life and usually it doesn't really happen, well not in the Korean world anyway. BUT it has! After seeing YEH and Daniel Henney take those W magazine pics together I think they would make a really hot couple too HAHA.

LASTLY, Yoon Eun Hye's new drama is airing Mid August, the teaser will come out on August 13th. I've been waiting for her comeback for a very very very long time.

I was watching East Of Eden and they always play this really pretty instrumental piece when Young Ran and Dong Chul are together. So my mom was watching the drama with me yesterday the song comes on and my mom says, "Hey that's a chinese song!"

This is such a touching story from a first person account on their day with SNSD. It's taken from a PD who works for Kim Ji Eun's Chocolate (A music talk show), he talks about what they planned when SNSD was scheduled to appear on KJE's Chocolate, and what he thought about the nine girls.

Just reading this article I was already crying, I can't even imagine how I'd feel when I actually watch the show (subbed of course).

It first started like this. We wanted to change up their stage to make it really seem like a special performance. SNSD’s songs, from “Gee” to “Tell Me Your Wish” don’t get tiring no matter how many times you listen to them, but we wanted show a new image of them that you can’t see on the time in ranking programs. SM had already announced their goals and the kids(girls) that were already tired from a murderous schedule were facing a tough practice in the time that they barely had. Gee was re-arranged into a jazz version with a piano accompaniment that turned into a strong rock song. There was also a 6 minute large scale and exciting non-stop dance battle prepared to show a power that only SNSD possesses.

There was an emphasis on the less recognized members, like the maknae Seohyun’s piano solo or the super talented Hyoyeon’s powerful solo stage, as well as all the other members, of course. Thankful of the hard work these idols put in, we took a lot more time and trouble than normal to plan the filming and design the stage so that not one of the girls’ actions or expression is missed. Just like that, we prepared until we were all happy with the music. However, even after that, we still felt we were lacking something. The girls’ attractiveness is not just their singing, but also how they are in the everyday life. We didn’t want to play it safe and just fill in time with a variety-talk-show-like interview asking them normal questions like what their ideal man is, or what cool imitations they can do. That is not the Chocolate that I think of. These girls have already turned into an girl army of the nation’s favorite dongsengs, so everybody would have already seen their special hidden talents or heard some of their general stories. I wanted to create a meaningful time that is fresh for the viewers and possibly helpful for the girls. Having this in mind, I was even more nervous meeting them in the band practice room.

Even if they are SNSD,they are like any other 20 year old girl [in Korean age], laughing freely, chattering endlessly, and joking around mischievously with each other. And in the short hour they have left, you can clearly see each of their individual personalities, but even more, you can also see how close they really are and how much they care for each other. It strongly rang through my mind that this was what I wanted to show the audience. As “Tell Me Your Wish” became more popular, SNSD became even more busy. Just like the title of the song, SNSD had to grant people’s wishes and aired on programs everywhere. They sang, danced, and laughed a whole lot on many different variety and talk shows. Although they must be thankful for being so popular, the girls always have to be apart from their families when they are still at an age where they should be at home, playing the role of a teenager. That is why I didn’t want to ask these girls to fulfill anybody’s wishes again. I wanted to do the opposite and hear some honest wishes they might have in their hearts, no matter how small or insignificant the wish.

The show that started last year called “Change” had popped up into my mind. The people on the show who wore disguises always wanted to meet their families. It’s in human nature for families to fight most with each other and upset each other, even if they have lived together the longest. Even if the person in always sees their family, they never fail to shed a tear when meeting their family with a disguise on. This includes Hyori, (Son) Hoyoung, Tablo, and Ok Dongja. It was a very meaningful show to me as I was very negative toward the topic of “family.” I kept it a secret from the girls, but through their manager, I contacted the maknae Seohyun’s mother. She said that it has been over a month since she last saw her daughter who lives in a dormitory with the members. She felt very sorry that she couldn’t be there for her daughter’s birthday last month. She gladly agreed to go on air saying, “anything for my only daughter.” There were many meetings, even until the night before filming, on how to resolve the show which had almost become like a hidden camera type show.

The filming began and disguised as a regular person in the audience, Seohyun’s mother asked the members, as a wish, to show her aegyo-less daughter how to appear cute and charming. Her mother also asked the girls to read a letter for her that she wrote to her daughter. The girls, who were laughing and thinking that they were only being asked to fulfill a wish, slow started to talk. When MC Kim Jungeun asked the maknae Seohyun to give the mother a hug instead of her daughter, the girls’ eyes were already red. The mother hugged Seohyun, took off her mask, and wished her daughter a happy belated birthday, giving her a baby diary of Seohyun which she intended to give to her on her wedding day. These girls were pouring tears like crazy, and even the MC turned around to wipe her eyes. The place momentarily became a quiet sea of tears.

When Jessica, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Sunny, Taeyeon, Yoona, and Tiffany were asked to say something to their mothers, the brave and leader-like Taeyeon stood up and began to talk. She said, “The word “mother” is a taboo to SNSD!” Just then, Tiffany, who cried first and the most, suddenly raised her hand. She said, “I want to say something,” There was a request that SNSD’s manager had made on behalf of the girls. He asked to please be careful of the subject of families as it was a hard topic for some of the girls. As a director who understood the gist of it, I was especially careful not to persist on the topic of mothers in case some of the girls got hurt. Tiffany smiled and said, “This is the first time I’m saying this, but…” and she continued to say a short and wonderful greeting. When she was done, she mustered up the courage and said:
“But I thank you so much for giving me these very special siblings to me instead…” And then she hugged her friends one by one. The girls and hugged, consoling and encouraging each other and wiping each others’ tears. Seohyun’s mother also hugged all the members, saying that it was because of the eight unnies that her daughter learned to soften up. It was hard for me to not sniff my nose while the tears began to fall from my own eyes, even as I was behind watching from behind the cameras. I am beginning to tear up again right now as I am honestly writing this. A sunbae, who was watching me from the side, said something to me… “Aigoo, the PD even has a soft heart…”

When the talk was finished and filming was briefly put on hold, we quickly made an announcement. There were many reporters and people in the audience, and had to explain that Tiffany’s story is extremely personal and may even be cut out from the show, and asked them not to make any articles on it. Worrying for the girls, I then ran to their waiting room. I just wanted to give them a little surprise, but now I felt so bad. With a worried expression, I found Tiffany in the waiting room and called, “FANY!” Then, surprisingly, Tiffany came running toward me and in one moment, gave me a big hug. She then held my hand, looking at me with eyes that still had tears in them, and said, “Director, thank you so much~!” The child told me, who was feeling so sorry, that she was very happy and thankful for such a nice present, and asked to air the part for sure. Because of this child, I felt so thankful, so happy, and so apologetic, and my heart broke. Fany… and kids… thank you, and sorry.. To be honest, I don’t really know the SNSD girls. I’ve never met the girls before filming Chocolate even for work. I just enjoyed watching their cute and adorable images like other Ahjussi fans. But after this filming, the girls have become special to me. Not as a fan or a man, but as somebody who is like their older brother, I really hope they don’t become hurt emotionally. I’m pretty sure this feeling only goes for me, but it seems like I have become a part of their family. It is a given that an idol group will always be followed with gossip and malicious talk, but SNSD also has rumors saying that they’re a loner, they don’t like each other, and they say bad things. But from my experience, I can say for sure that those kinds of words are garbage that aren’t even worth considering. The members of SNSD are like real unnies, dongsengs, and loving mothers to each other. The group SNSD is but a family only under the name of SNSD. Through this filming, I have come to know a family with a sincere bond. It first started like that, wanting to fulfill SNSD’s wishes. However, instead, I have received a great gift from SNSD in the end.

I think Korean entertainment gives you a good look into the behind the scenes of the music industry. I think it would be fascinating to work behind the scenes. I guess I was never a person to stand in the lime light so I think it would be fun to work behind the scenes with these people.

At church I got a taste of what it would be like to work the sound board for the musicians and I found that fun too.

PLUS I think it would be fun to host a radio show like the Korean stars do, but I don't know if I'd be entertaining enough to capture an audience with just my voice. It probably isn't animated enough.
ANYWAY, I have a lot more pictures of SNSD that I want to share but I'll save that for another day. HAHA enjoy the story!

Exciting news...my friend from Portland is FINALLY coming up to Vancouver to visit. She's been saying it and saying it but finally the day has come!

She will be here during the long weekend next week. I'm seriously so excited. It's been over a year since I last saw her and over two years since I first met her.

So I keep telling people about how GORGEOUS I think Emma Watson looks now, but I also tell people Dakota Fanning has grown up to be quite gorgeous as well.

I know you can't see her that well, but look at her. Emma Watson is now 19, while this girl is only 15 but she already seems way more mature and elegant looking than most girls her age.

TRIVIA note, Dakota Fanning has the same birthday as me but in 1994, a whole 7 years younger HAHA.

Yoon Eun Hye is coming out with a new drama in the middle of August. Oh my goodness FINALLY I have been waiting for so long, no matter what she is my favourite Korean actress! Fell in love in Goong, and I quite enjoyed the Vineyard Man and well of course Coffee Prince.

No she's not in the new drama with Daniel Henney, but they would make quite the pair.

AND no she's not in the new drama with Hyun Bin either, I'm still wishing! I know ONE DAY they will make a drama together, how can they not. It'll happen if I believe long enough it will come true. I just had to put this picture up for eye candy HAHA. I don't care what you say I think he's good looking. Ever since the Sam Soon days.

Alright, I am getting my hair trimmed at Chura tomorrow. Chura is a Japanese salon here in Vancouver and I quite enjoy it there. Some people have had terrible experiences there, probably because they couldn't fully communicate with the stylists cause they are Japanese and their English is just average. However I love it because it's not that expensive (only $28) and I think they have excellent service and they haven't done anything wrong to my hair yet.

Although I guess I have high and low standards. A lot of my haircuts I would have deemed as alright, I have had a few OMGoodness they were fantastic, but I can't say I've ever truly hated a hair cut (oh except in Grade 3 where I have this horrid memory of short hair and my hair going crazy curly). Beside that small memory I have never really truly hated a hair cut I've gotten. I don't know maybe because even if initially it looks meh, 3 weeks later after it's grown a bit it usually looks a lot better. So all that is required is time.

I'm only trimming this time anyway. I want to grow my hair long but can't stand the dry ends so I shall trim off an inch and just redo my bangs. LOVE hate relationship I tell ya. Always want to cut them, but then I always put them up cause I can't seem to find the perfect shape for them. The hunt shall continue tomororw.

I also want to redye my hair, but I still like the colour at the moment and even though my roots have started to show, I guess I kind of don't have the money for it right now either SO I will wait. Tanya (a friend of mine) showed me her new streaks yesterday and it made me really want to dye my hair...haha oh well next time it will happen.

OH Lastly Gardenburst has a gig tomorrow! I haven't been to a gig in a while now. Their last one happened to fall on the day I returned from Korea. Needless to say I was jetlagged and couldn't attend, so I am looking forward to the one tomorrow for sure.

I LOVE HER! Harry Potter came out this week and broke Dark Knight's record. I'm pretty excited to watch it, I am a mild Harry Potter fan. I know a lot of people who are really into it and I am mediocre. I love the books and I love the movies AND I really love Emma Watson, she's so gorgeous and her ads for Burberry are PERFECT for her.

I think it's cause shes from the UK and Burberry is all about that high end English look so she fits PERFECTLY. Definitely a great candidate to model for their new line.

WHY are flights within Canada SO EXPENSIVE?!?! We need more people to drive the prices down!
I'm attending a wedding in Calgary in September and I've been looking for airfare recently.
So far Air Canada seems to be the cheapest, I think I will book soon or I might have to pay more later.

*sigh* I was hoping for $50 a ticket or less like in the states but no such luck! LOL OH WELL.

I'm going to 2 weddings this year! So exciting. I was just telling people how much I wanted to go to weddings and here they all are a coming. I can't wait!

Korea May 2nd - May 18th PART I...

My trip to Seoul, South Korea (plus 4 days in Jeju Island) was FANTASTIC. I was basically on the go the entire time. I think I had one morning/afternoon where I lazed around in the apartment and did nothing but be lazy. I needed those few hours because the entire time I was in Seoul I was up and about doing something. My "Roomie" (I call her that cause it's so much easier than saying my coworker's younger sister) commented one night, "You are so busy, always out." Which was true I had to pack everything I wanted to do into 16 days.

Let's do a recap of my trip, CAUTION this may be lengthy AND I probably will do several posts cause there is so much to recap.

Day 1 - May 2nd SATURDAY.
Arrived in Seoul at 5:40pm. Cause of the new Swine Flu pandemic when our plan landed EVERYONE (cause our plane came from Canada, which is one of the high risk areas) had to get their temperature taken. This part took the longest, maybe about 30-40 minutes ish. Then going through customs was sooooo easy, no line up whatsoever. Luggage was also very quick since we had our temperature taken all the luggage was out already just dancing around in circles waiting for it's owner.

Once out, I totally recognized the exit gate cause of all the K Dramas (I know what A dork!), I proceeded to get my rented cell phone. Nat told me it's pretty hard to get around Korea w/out a cell and she's right, I think I would've had a hard time coordinating things with anyone if I did not have my handy dandy cell.

I then followed the instructions of my friend Tiffany, who helped tell me how to get into Seoul city from Incheon International Airport, to get to the exit where my limosine bus stop was. Really easy and straight forward. At first I had my guard up cause of visiting China a few years before, when this Korean ajusshi approached me my first thought was he's trying to scam me, in the end he just wanted to help me and point me in the right direction >.<>.< onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_qu-RnGDXSjo/Sk8ErKZ4kDI/AAAAAAAABy8/Y3By89YvYrA/s1600-h/IMG_0872.jpg">Approx. 45 mins later I was at DangSan station. That's the subway stn closest to my roomie's apartment. Nat and Tiff were walking around HongDae waiting for me so I had to wait for them to get to my stn. I must've looked hilarious cause there were no benches around I just sat on my little suitcase whilst leaning on my large suitcase. When Nat and Tiff arrived we greeted each other w/ big hugs! Nat I haven't seen since her departure date Feb 21 and Tiff I was meeting for the first time, but have been chatting with for a while online. My Korean coworker from home was nice enough to print the address in large Korean characters for me so we can show the Taxi driver. Twas very useful cause I had NO idea where I was going and apparently neither did the taxi drivers, but good thing for GPS's we got there in a short amount of time. We were thinking maybe 5 - 10 minutes, but its more like 10-15 minutes away. None-the-less got to the apartment safely, and got the pin code from my roomie and voila we were in. My roomie was at her parents house, cause it was parents + childrens day (two seperate days, but they fall in the same week) so she went home to spend it all together. I was alone at her apartment for approx. 2 days. First night most people would probably sleep, but me half on adrenaline and half on crazy I guess decided no time for sleep let's go out. Leaving my apartment we taxi'ed over to the KangNam area (the richer part) and started to look for some dinner.

We walked around at first cause we were looking for a bank for Nat, in the end i think we just gave up and decided to look for food instead. Every restaurant, cafe, bar etc. in this region has a "promoter" as I like to call them. After a while of walking this one "promoter" got our attention (there was actually another promoter that tried to approach us, but he didn't get to us in time and his restaurant was kind of empty...tsk tsk...bad promoting on his part lol) they had a decent amount of people inside their restaurant so we just settled in for a nice evening of BBQ and soju. We had Soju Fresh, which is apparently lighter and easier to go down for the ladies. When we ordered Soju the manager ajusshi asked us for our IDs (LOL sorry ladies, apparently it's the first time they were IDied whilst drinking in Korea) and when he saw my age was like 87! and then pointed at Nat 87! LOL.

Dinner was good, meat is awesome, but words to the wise (actually this is pretty common sense, I just had NONE that night for some odd reason) 1. don't drink on an empty stomach and 2. don't drink on an empty stomach on the first night you take a 10 hr plane ride somewhere w/out rest. Nothing bad happened, but my head was spinning a little too much. After dinner we met up with Nat's friend Bich (also on exchange at Korea University). They wanted to predrink a little more before going to the club (yes you're probably thinking I'm very crazy, and I think I was that night too, don't ask how I survived it) so we ended up at Cafe Slow where Nat and Tiff's husbands to be worked. They already knew both of them were off work already though (haha).

We shared a pitcher of Sangria (Nat's favourite) and then headed over to Club Eden located beside the Ritz Carlton. This club is a hot spot for local Korean celebrities apparently. A few were spotted the night we were there. The location of the club is pretty neat, we walked in paid approx 30$ CAD for cover and then it was another 5 or 6 dollars for coat check (YEA expensive oO). Here we charge per item, there the policy is whatever you can fit into a bag! The bag is pretty large so we actually stuffed all of our things into two bags which saved us a little bit of money. The club is opened till 4 or 5 am(we didn't stay till closing) and plays electronic, house music. I'm not a big fan. I can listen to it but the entire time we were there (I think around 11:30 - 3:30am or so give or take) I felt like I was listening to one LONG song. AND because we had soju before I basically think I fell asleep once or twice on the dance floor. HAHA AUTOpilot for sure. However by the end of clubbing (after bumping into some more international students from KU and seeing three celebrities and 2 potentially good looking guys) I was pretty awake.

Natasha wore these high heels, which got some crazy looking gunk stuck to the heel (not pretty I tell ya), so her feet hurt BUT good thing she had flats in her bag and was able to change into them right away. First we stopped by a GS25 for drinks (mostly water) and then we wandered back to Gangnam cause I really wanted STREET FOOD! It was so deliciously. We ordered dokbukki (which is rice cakes in spicy sauce) and these deep fried things kinda like tempura but they were mostly seafood. I think for the 4 of us it only cost 7$ and we were so full.

Hunting for a taxi home was the biggest challenge. The late night taxi system worked somewhat like Hong Kong taxis now they had less flexibilty to their destinations so they only look for customers who are going the right way. We were rejected many times before we figured we should try our luck across the street. Because it was so late I was going to sleep over at Tiff's place. The taxi driver we got was willing to drive us to KU BUT wasn't going to drive to Tiff's place so Tiff and I had to get out and grab a different taxi, but all in all after a LONG night we made it back to her place and I had a very good sleep.

Day 2 - May 3rd SUNDAY.

The night before whilst packing I had already planned my change of clothes for the next days activities. So I got up showered, and so did Tiff we got ready and headed out to meet Nat at Lotte World (a family fun amusement park with rides/games/shows etc. geared towards, familes, couples and young people).

Side note, Tiff lives in this really nice apartment it's like the rich nice ones you see in K Dramas!

We walked to Wolyge station and got some 30cents coffee whilst waiting for the subway. It took us about 40-45 minutes to get to Lotte World to meet up with Nat. Since it was Sunday lots of people were there to enjoy the day at Lotte World. Since it was their 25th (or 35th ... I don't quite remember) Anniversary there was a discount on entrance!

The amusement park consist of an inside and outside portion. The bigger thrill rides were located outside and more of the family oriented things were located indoors. We first bought $2 all day pass holders as souvenirs. They were a lot easier because they went around our neck. You had to show the pass everytime you went on a ride and it would be a hassle to have to take out the pass everytime. When it's around your neck it's pretty automatic, you basically walk through the gate into the ride.

We b lined for something to drink next. We had Smoothie King where we mixed up our own drinks and Tiff and I ended up switching drinks cause we thought we heard the girl say Strawberry Yoghurt when it was Blueberry. After seeing a gazillion people in couple t-shirts which Nat could NOT help but take pictures of we headed outside.

To get to the outdoor amusement park we got to walk through something resembling the magic castle. Since I have never been to Disneyland I would presume it's something like this but on a grander scale. I was so excited I absolutely love amusement parks!

We decided to eat first since it was near noon and we were hungry. We got hot dogs or what resembled hot dogs and then stood in a really long line up for our first ride. I think we waited about an hour or so for most of the rides outdoors, but the ones we went on were all pretty fantastic. Because of all the waiting we snacked a lot and took a lot of random pictures (well nat did) of people that were passing by.Couple shirts are kind of hilarious, but you add a kid in there and make them family shirts then it's oh so freaking adorable!

I cannot remember the names of the rides we went on so I'm just going to use their generic terms. The first roller coaster we lined up and ate our hot dogs. It's so deceiving because you enter the ride thinking on you're going to go on the ride soon but NO WAY they have even more space inside for you to line up it's pretty ridiculous. BUT what's even more ridiculous is all the graffiti. HOLY SMOKES I have never seen walls being tagged by so many people before. And it's not just people writing ____ was here, or LL hearts JJ or something, it's all (either young guys or girls) writing their favourite korean singer/actor all over the wall. It's pretty insane I have never seen anything like it. AND since there is so much of it I doubt anyone bothers to repaint or even clean the walls up.

After this first ride we went and waited for the bumper cars. Natasha bought mini melts (or dipping dots whichever name you prefer) and we all shared. Nat thinks they are the best bumper cars she's ever been on, I must admit they are a lot easier to drive than the ones at Playland.

After this we went on Nat's favourite ride, it's this roller coaster that goes really fast and it was REALLY fun. The beginning part it kind of charges you up and blasts you off really quick and very high up and then there's a drop. It was just a really fun ride, but since it was so fun the line up was huge. So we snacked more. I had a sausage wrapped in fishcake on a skewer topped witht his really yummy mustard! Nat and Tiff had Ice Coffees and Nat also had her Peanut Butter Squid.

The next ride was this Giant Swing that looks like the crazy beach party at playland except it goes a lot higher and it spins less, which was good for nat since she didn't really like the spinning part. I think at this point Nat might've bought a churro I forget (LOL can't keep track of all the snacks...HAHA). ANYWAY we kept ourselves amused other ways for this ride. Near the end of the line is one of those games where you use a hammer and you try to hit as hard as you can so the light reaches the bell. WELL a lot of guys tried the game and it's pretty amusing to watch guys try to act tought LOL.

OH this park a lot of people buy these headbands and they either have animal ears, or bows on them. They are pretty adorable if done right. We spotted this guy when we were in line wearing a silver bow, checking himself in the mirror to make sure the bow looked ok. It was pretty priceless I had a good time watching him! LOL.

After this ride we decided to try this ride where they bring you up to ___ feet and then drop you. Kind of like the helevator (this is a ride @ Playland back in Vancouver, BC) but higher and less annoying cause they don't bring you back up and down up and down.

*If my writing sounds inconsistent because at this point I have left this post for about 3 weeks and I am continuing now, LOL*

We then started to venture inside because we pretty much went on the rides that were worth going on outside. We only went on a few more things inside since the rides were not that entertaining. I got to take a picture with the carousel that is in Stairway To Heaven (I have never actually seen that drama, but it's a classic).

Basically the rest of the night winded down and we eventually found food to eat and we watched part of the laser show which had a really hilarious theme that Nat was explaining to us. She was like the narrator. OH we saw this Filipino band perform and they were pretty awesome! They sang in Korean and in English and it was the perfect way to end the evening!

It's Canada day and I spent the day on the beach playing volleyball, ninja and eating good food. It was a fun and relaxing day, I got a little burned T__T I wasn't even trying to tan, the sun just doesn't like me.

I watched Transformers on IMAX on Saturday. I must say I highly enjoyed it, although I can't lie that I was quite heart broken when the R8 was cut in half T__T that was definitely NOT cool. However Optimus Prime snapping the decepticon's head was pretty epic.

I was quite shocked when I found out that Michael Jackson passed away. Despite the negative press that has seemed to surround him for the past little while his music will always live on. I wasn't born yet when Thriller came out however growing up people was always talking about MJ and I have been listening to his music since I was young.

It really doesn't matter where you are from and what background you are, MJ's influence is far greater than that. You can hate all you want on what he has done the past couple years, but you can't deny what a magnificent and ground breaking musician he is, and you can't hate on that.

I really enjoy this music show the people I have seen on the show are usually not the mainstream pop icons so people say it was a pretty big deal that Super Junior and SNSD went on the show. The neat thing about the show is that usually artists sing outside their usual genre and do a more intimate acoustic or jazz live.

It's neat I really enjoy it and I am glad that SuJu and SNSD decided to come on the show, they showcased their talents a lot more here.

I was going to put up the album cover but they are going to change it now cause of the controversy over the type of plane they decided to put on the cover.

I find it all a little silly, I mean I get the fact that it could stir up some hard feelings but everyone should be moving forward and not just linger on things that have happened in the past. Korea and Japan should work hard on improving relations, and it's silly that now they have to change the album cover. The younger generation who is going to buy this album probably doesn't even know the difference, but hey I guess you want to be pleasing to as many markets as possible.

I find it tragic how they can't just see past something like this. I guess I will never really understand why it is such a big issue.

So right now I am watching Shining Inheritance/Brilliant Legacy starring Lee Seung Ki & Han Hyo Joo. I am just waiting for the main characters to get together. It's one of the Korean drama where the two leads start off hating each other (LOL actually that happens in a lot of k dramas). Anyway they are in the love hate relationship meaning they still talk like they hate each other but deep down the love is there already.

There is this really cute scene where Hyo Joo's character is tired so she goes to the restaurants little garden place and has a nap on a bench out in the sun. Seung Ki's character sees that she's tad bit tall for the bench so she looks like she's about to fall off and the sun is beaming down on her face. Therefore she grabs another bench and gently shifts her legs and knees onto that bench so she doesn't have to balance. And then he grabs this giant potted plant and uses it to shade her face.

It's so sweet! I've never really seen Lee Seung Ki in a drama before. I used to watch him on variety shows and I know he sings and acts but I never really looked any farther. But this drama is good =D I am highly enjoying the chemistry between these two!

Ok so I have been taking this seminar so far. I must say I was pretty apathetic about the entire thing when I first started and I can't say I'm totally into it yet, but it has been pretty fun and I've been digging deeper into looking at myself.

I guess that's where I get freaked out the most. Like most people it's so easy to just look at other people and think well you gotta fix that and maybe tweak a little bit of this or that, BUT it's so hard to look at yourself and say look this is a problem fix it!

Anyway there are two more sessions for this seminar. I will let you know in the end if it was all worth while. So far I can see it working in that direction but I didn't have my "ah hah" moment yet.

This MV is so good! 8Eight's comeback MV was really good, and this follow up MV is even better. Not only does it feature Kim So Eun (whom I love!) it also features JinWoon from the group 2AM. I really love 8eight and I really love this MV.

LASTLY this is just for kicks. I think they tried to perform it seriously but was laughing too much sometimes, still entertaining and JongHyun's voice sounds really good most of the time. And since they are on Chin Chin you see TaeYeon dancing =D

It's been a long time since I've blogged. I wanted to update about my trip to Korea BUT my internet was having problems. I just got it fixed so I am back.

I love this song, no matter how many times I hear it I still love it, love it, love it!
This is an old clip from last year. Jessica and Tiffany singing Bryan Adams - Heaven.
This clip shows me how good Jessica's voice really is, at this point Jess's voice really does outshine Tiff's. I'm glad Tiff has worked to improve her vocals thought. But I never seriously knew how good Jessica's voice is till this song. I mean I knew she had a better voice than some of the girls in SNSD, but the songs they sing their vocals are not really highlighted.

As the title might suggest I will be writing about a bunch of topics that don't really relate to one another but I am random like that.

I just read this off soompi and its the sweetest story of friendship, plus it makes me like TaeYang that much more.

Ok I'm not a big fan of Go Ara, I don't hate her or anything but I guess she just hasn't been in anything that has captivated me to like her. However she has been doing Spris ads with KimBum and a few of the pictures are really cute =D

If you HAVEN'T seen Super Junior on Intimate Note go to youtube and search for it ENG SUBBED, it's out there THiS IS A MUST WATCH!!!!! The 1st episode is full uploaded and the second 2nd episode hasn't been fully uploaded but 1/2 of it has and its so hilarious! SuJu seriously is the most hilarious bunch of guys ever. Although a few members were missing the ones that were there were so entertaining. I especially loved the charades. I was DYING from laughter whilst watching it! Go search it now.

OK even though SNSD has stopped promotions they are still everywhere. Either MCing, Radio DJing, attending movie permiers, fashion shows, variety shows or just being in a bajillion ads. This is good news for me since I love them, this might be bad news for those that are not fond of them but hey you win some and lose some!

BUT since they are still everywhere that means there are pictures of them! I recently saved these. I must say since their debut they have grown up. Before they were using the cute image and they kinda looked like a bunch of young kids. Now they are still using the cute image but you can totally see that they have matured and if they really want to can be super sexy.

First off this is a new promotional ad for Goobne Chicken:It probably has a lot to do with where Hyo Yeon is positioned in the first photo and how the girls are positioned to face her, but my eyes goes straight to her and she looks gorgeous. You may or may not remember a while back I posted a dance battle between the girls for this particular company and the question we all asked was where is the chicken. I still love the dance battle and the clothes they were! Here is a refresher if you forgot.

This was before the HQ videos were a craze so this is about as good as it gets for the quality. I love how Tae Yeon looks so good in this video.

We've got SeoHyun, Jessica, Sunny and Yuri from SNSD. We've got SungMin, SiWon, EunHyuk, KyuHyun, DongHae and EeTeuk from SuJu.
I think it's cool celebs promote blood donation in Korea. I hate to say I actually haven't donated super recently, but there are tons of people that benefit from us donating blood, and its the one thing that we can give and give again because we replenish it naturally. More people should go out and donate blood it's not as painful or scary as you think.

AND lastly once again random and totally forgot where this is from but I think YoonA looks really good. Sometimes in certain shots I think she looks kinda awkward actually BUT I remember looking at this shot and thinking, ah she is so gorgeous.
I really enjoy her hair down more. I remember in the kissing you video it was up and twisted into those buns and I really didn't like that.
I also think Jessica looks really good with her shorter hair it suits her really well, the long hair she had before kinda just dragged while now it gives her face more shape and more dynamics. I think Tiffany looks better with the long hair than short, it makes her look more feminine and just the way her face is shaped I think the long hair suits her better. I also think that it's great they had Seo Hyun grow out her bangs, she just looks so much more mature now way to go =D

A few weeks ago I watched A Star's Friend where Soo Young was the guest and she chose her sister Soo Jin to be on the show with her. Her sister is so pretty and she has a really good voice too. Don't the both of them look gorgeous?

LOL So two weekends ago I spent the night chatting away with some friends.

Nicely Put Together...

So I am usually not a very big fan of fanvids, which are usually music videos created by fans starring either their favourite artists or someone else that is famous. They either use only pictures or they put together video clips of that person and create a fan video.

BUT I have found a few relating to the SoEul couple that I really enjoyed. I think they are quite nicely put together. Usually what I don't like about fanvids is that there is no connection between the video clips/pictures and the song that is playing. It seems like nothing relates and its all just random. The few I have selected everything just works really well together and I really enjoyed watching them.

First off it's to 8Eights - Without a Heart
The creator has picked the perfect scene, this video has a total heartbreaking feel to it! And yes they don't end up together, but if you know this song if there is a happy ending then the creator of the video definitely would've been off about the emotions you get from this song.

David Archuleta - Crush
This one everything is light and airy, and I totally feel the beginnings of a crush blossoming into something more. Which is precisely what the song is about. I like how the meaning of the song and the clips used are so nicely matched.

Taylor Swift - Love Story
If you know this song, you already know the song in itself has a plot that you can run through yourself. I liked how the creator used scenes from BOF that goes really well with the story line in place in the song.

OH YEA everyone should watch Monsters vs. Aliens!
I saw it on 3D Imax last night and it was so good! I highly enjoyed it, I laughed, I almost cried (lol yes...) and I looked awesome wearing those 3-D glasses.

SO after going to Nat's blog I was inspired to post videos of DaVichi which I've had for a while.
They have great harmonization. I think that's one of the main reasons I love DBSK so much because of their awesome harmonization. Here they are singing two English songs. I picked these cause it shows off their big voices, well Listen does.

DBSK appeared on Our Music, which is hosted by a member of SMAP. They were awesome I really enjoyed this show. They performed Lion Heart by Smap and Of Course by another Japanese band, and then Bolero, which is their own japanese single. It's a really great show.

OK last bit for today. So since I was browsing at DBSK in Japan I decided I was going to see what my favourite Japanese female artist - Ayaka - has been up to. She's releasing a new single later in April, but I started listening to her song Okaeri again and it's so good. I absolutely love her!

TOTALLY random tidbit I found out whilst reading the comments. She is dating Mizushima Hiro. I know who he is from Hana Kimi + Mei-chan no Shisuji (which is more or so where I fell in love with him). I just found that exciting because it's finally two Japanese celebrities that I know that are linked together. LOL.

Besides having solo singing projects, YoonA has been busy filming another drama. This time she is the female lead with Kwon Sang Woo. What an honour for her. I saw the promotional pictures for the drama and I am definitely quite fasicinated.
It's called the Cinderella Man and will air in approximately 3 weeks.
She looks so pretty, Yoon A cut her hair for this role so that it would giver her a more mature look. People have said that YoonA and Kwon Sang Woo make an odd pairing because she's 19 and he's 28 or so (I forget his age). But I think they make a good looking couple, I can't really judge till I watch the drama. If you don't know KSW is the guy sitting in the chair wearing the white jacket with a black collar.

So much to look foward to this week. 2 new episodes of BOF (Boys Over Flowers) and the new K. Will and Tiffany song! Bae Seul Gi is also doing a comeback in April.

There are three more episodes of Boys Over Flowers left and I feel like they don't have enough Ga Eul and Yi Jung scenes T__T.
LOL yes I know they are just minor sub characters, BUT I love them together so much! I guess they spoiled us too much earlier on in the series with so much Ga Eul and Yi Jung interaction. Now that they are focusing on the JanDi, JunPyo and JiHoo story more we are not seeing as much of them.

So cute when she put her hands over his eyes to show him the sign! They make such a cute couple, I think they should date in real life. OR have another drama out together! YES I am in love with these two that much...harhar.

Besides Super Junior's comeback another band I've been waiting for is 8Eight. I think they are quite underrated in the Korean music world, but I think they are quite awesome.

This is their MV ft. SoHee (from Wonder Girls) - the concept is a little strange but I think over all So Hee captures the emotions of the song quite well even if I don't understand the whole vampire thing.

This is their comeback performance on March 12/09 - it's excellent! I really like this song, even though it's a little sad sounding T__T

OH and since I've been wathing BOF I go their OST cause I really like the music on it.

Ah the new craze, Super Junior (all 13 of them) are back.
I must say I am really liking their new concept, people say it's sexy which I guess it is but it's also more stylish and it just looks really good.

PLUS they sang live for their Comeback stage. I mean I never doubt that SuJu is a group that can sing but more often than not they tend to lipsync to a lot of stuff, so I was VERY happy they decided to sing live! I think SM is pushing their groups to be able to sing live almost all the time, which I like =D

Kim So Eun...

Whenever I watch Korean dramas I think I am usually more into the guys than the girls. With the exception of Yoon Eun Hye. Or I just like the plot and the good looking characters aid in making the drama awesome. However I think I have fallen for another female actress.

She is in Boys Over Flowers (Geum Jan Di's bestfriend) and she was in Empress Chun Chu aka The Iron Empress as the younger Hwang Su or Empress Hunae.

Now I only started watching Empress Chun Chu because of her. Period dramas are a little hard to get into when you don't know the history of that country very well. Usually when I watch HK period dramas I kinda know the Emperors they are talking about or the big names of historical characters. I was somewhat lost in this period piece with the historical references but I highly enjoyed the eight episodes I decided to watch. Kim So Eun does a marvelous job at her role. I love how it's so different than her role in Boys Over Flowers.

While watching Empress Chun Chu never did I once see Ga Eul, and then watching Boys Over Flowers later the same night I never once though of Hwang Su. It's so great how diverse she can be. In fact her performance was so awesome I might just finish the drama. She's not in it anymore but now I want to watch it to see the conclusion. It's in this giant web right now and I want to see things made right, but we'll see if I have time for that.

Anyhow I think she's pretty awesome. After YEH this girl has got to be my favourite Korean actress even though she's a new comer.

Plus she's so pretty, just so natural and so pretty. Some girls have all the luck, there are girls that are so out right astonishingly pretty, she on the other is just as gorgeous but not so in your face. I think I like it this way better.

I love how her hair looks so soft and it just nicely curls, I don't think my hair can do that. Anyway she's really awesome. If you get the chance watch Boys Over Flowers and Empress Chun Chu (if you don't want to watch the entire thing just watch Episode 1 - 8 like I did).

US Debut

So many Asian artists are debuting in the United States of America. It's kinda interesting to see how they fair in the American market.

Se7en and Wonder Girls will be debuting a little later. se7en's teaser video is already out and the song Girls features Lil Kim.

Boa's new American single I Did It For Love features Sean Garrett. I like this song better than Eat You Up cause it's not as cheesy and sounds more like the American style music. I don't think she's copping out for choosing to sound more American mainstream, I mean at first she has to fit into the market for fans to notice her right?
It's very produced and electronic sounding, but I guess that's the trend going around Hollywood these days...this isn't the music video but listen to the song it's not bad.

Utada Hikaru has already debuted in the states once before, I think she got little recognition for her efforts the first time. However I think her 2009 American single is quite good. The song does get a little repetitive BUT I really like how it sounds.
Her cd supposedly was released today and her first single off this cd is Come Back To Me
(also not the mv, just enjoy the song)

Last, not an American debut but a neat cover of an American song. So the story goes Craig David asked Wheesung (a Korean singer) to do a cover of his single Insomnia.
I think this song is quite addictive. Virtually the songs are the same, but because they are sung by different artists the songs do have different feels.

Ok so on a totally seperate note, I cannot wait till next Monday and Tuesday. Having to wait for new Boy Over Flower episodes is so hard!!! I want to see more of Ga Eul and Yi Jung Love! I love good dramas like this where I cannot wait to see the next episode, but waiting is so hard!

OH YEA and for those that don't know I'm going to Korea! May 1 - 11 =D I think I've been waiting for this trip for a while. I know it's not that long, but next time I go I definitely will go longer.

Kim Bum Over Flowers

OK so I have been watching the Korean version of Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango) AND it's so good. This show has also made me FALL IN LOVE with Kim Bum. He is so cute and handsome...there is just some sort of charm to him that makes him so awesome.

Anyway he has a really nice smile =D It makes me really want to smile!

OK so because of Kim Bum I am highly interested in the sub love plot line of Boys Over Flowers.
In the Japanese version (which I also highly enjoyed) I was very set on Rui and Makino being together. I also didn't have much interest in the sub plots, I just really wanted Tsukushi to somehow do something terrible so that Makino and Rui could be together, but we all know that is not the case at all...

Anyway in the Korean version I am so torn I really like Jun Pyo and Ji Hoo with Jandi...
HOWEVER I am SO FOR Ga Eul and Yi Jung! I am seriously in LOVE with these two, they look so good together. I will be very upset if the Korean version of the drama leaves their relationship in a big ?. Don't leave me hanging just put them together seriously DO IT.

Anyway that's all for now, if you haven't started watching this drama DO IT. Its awesome and addictive like a good drama should be! LOL
